Hi I’m Gideon, I’m a bespoke camper van builder, with a passion for quality and an obsessive eye for detail.
I love vans, I always have, they represent freedom, and escape, a home from home and a truly practical vehicle when a car simply won’t do!
Before It All Began
I studied Engineering Design at university, I was also a musician. Music led to me using vans as temporary living spaces. Eventually while touring as a professional drummer I was spending a lot of time on the road.
Drawing on domestic building experience, I converted my Transit van into a multi function tour bus/camper, for my live d’n’b band Hayashi.
A Call To Begin building Campers…
came because my wife wanted one, and also because her Honda was T boned by a Jeep! She needed something higher off the road, so we looked for a camper. We nearly lost a lot of money to a scammer, then bought a panel van, so I could do it myself. That’s where my learning curve started, with me becoming a self-builder.
When people saw my first camper, Betty Blue, I started to receive requests to build for others, and my camper building business was born!
From Self-builder to Professional:
I stopped touring as a musician, at the end of 2019, and have been building campers ever since.
I learned a huge amount from others and through my self-building experience, mistakes and all. I have been learning ever since, as a bespoke converter. All the different vehicles I have converted, and the different requirements of their owners, have presented new opportunities to face varied challenges and find unique solutions.

I am now a professional van builder, and in my heart, I’m still 100% a self builder.
